Hey there! I’m Frankie. I’m a food blogger and home cook based in Seattle, WA where my background as a designer/photographer and my love for food became my blog Little Fat Boy. I stumbled upon the food world by accident, where my blog as a passion project for myself turned into a full brand that centers around the Asian American experience with diverse recipes, techniques, and stories that reflect my background as a first generation Taiwanese American. For Little Fat Boy, I’ve won Saveur’s Blog of the Year and Most Groundbreaking Voice at Saveur’s Blog Awards in 2019, and am currently nominated for a 2020 IACP award for Best Instagram and Best Individual Food Blog.
My hope with my work is to capture the melting pot of food experiences that I love, where ultimately I just want it to feel like you’re eating in my grandma’s kitchen and getting the best kind of fat with 10 year old plump me with a bunch of steamed buns coupled with a little slice of Midwestern suburban goodness.
