Rebecca Eisenberg is a food blogger, recipe developer, and food photographer who founded popular baking blog The Practical Kitchen in 2019. Thanks in part to her viral small-batch bread recipes, which rack up millions of views, in just 4 years she has built a community of over 350k social media followers, 8,000 newsletter readers, and a website that sees an average of 400k+ pageviews per month. As a food influencer and content creator, she has worked with brands such as Microplane, Local Hive Honey, Wind & Willow, and USA Pan.

Her recipes have been featured on Buzzfeed, King Arthur Flour, The Kitchn, Well + Good, Tenderly and the upcoming book 50 Breads to Bake Before You Die. In 2020 she went to pastry school at Cambridge School of Culinary Arts where she graduated as valedictorian while working part-time as Food Editor at Greatist.

Rebecca was a self-taught hobby baker and home cook long before she ever went to pastry school, and brings that practical home cook mentality to all of her recipes. She specializes in writing detailed, well-tested recipes with beginner-friendly step-by-step visuals. Her collection of approachable small-batch bread recipe videos regularly go viral on social media, racking up a combined total of over 20 million views to date.

Rebecca is a champion of body positivity and fat acceptance and her readers appreciate that she brings an anti-diet approach to her food writing, carving out a safe space for them to enjoy making and eating food without shame or restriction.

Prior to launching The Practical Kitchen, Rebecca worked as writer, editor, editorial leaderĀ and content strategist at places like Buzzfeed, Upworthy, Headspace, Medium, and Greatist, where her work was regularly seen by millions of people.

Rebecca graduated with a BA in Film/Video studies from Penn State University in 2010, where she also worked as the Editor in Chief of Phroth, a printed humor magazine and newspaper. She also holds a Professional Pastry Certificate from Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Boston as well as a ServeSafe Manager Certification.
