Amy Paige Condon is the founder of The Refinery Writing Studio in Savannah, Georgia, a community creative writing workshop to help established and emerging authors hone their craft. Condon co-authored the New York Times bestselling The Back in the Day Bakery Cookbook (Artisan 2012) with baker-owners Cheryl and Griffith Day. The Wiley’s Championship BBQ Cookbook (Gibbs Smith 2014), co-written with Wiley and Janet McCrary, was named the best cookbook of 2014 by the National Barbecue News. A Nervous Man Shouldn’t Be Here, a biography of Bill Baggs, the late editor of the Miami News, will be released by University of Georgia Press in 2020. A former editor of Savannah magazine, Condon’s work has appeared in the journal HistoryMiami, The Local Palate online, Tasting Table online, Timeout Savannah, Paprika Southern, SC&G, This Old House, Renew, and Garden & Gun. She has been a frequent guest on Georgia Public Broadcast’s program On Second Thought. Condon lives in Savannah with her husband, three rambunctious dogs, and a talkative pig named Gus.
